When we visit Honduras to meet with our established partners, one of our favorite places to go is Misael's farm because we love learning more about him and his farming practices. Usually upon arrival to his farm we enjoy freshly picked and perfectly ripened avocados. After our snack we descend through the groves of avocados and we are greeted by a most spectacular sight. Coffee covers the mountain in front of us, shaded by ancient, towering trees that were home to many native birds, including toucans. It is like stepping into a magical forest out of a fairy tale. Misael has only been producing coffee for 7 years. Despite his relatively short tenure, Misael's coffee is out of this world and represents the quality that the Santa Barbra region of Honduras has to offer. It is always an incredible day spent with Misael and his team, and we leave feeling inspired by their dedication to quality and their community. Misael's coffee is testament to the heart and soul he pours into every step of the process and we feel grateful to have the opportunity to work with such wonderful partner.
